Deep Cut: Freelancers & artists in U.S. labor organizing

Hey y’all,

Sharing one from the archives I’ve always wanted to share but haven’t had a chance to. This is an interview I did in March 2021 with Nick B., a freelance dancer and artist in San Francisco. This interview was for an article I got green lighted for at another publication and then it got killed. This was probably my favorite of this series I did last year while researching and learning people’s stories about freelancing in various industries and how they intersect with modern day labor organizing.

Nick and I tried to stay in touch, but both got picked up in the tides of our lives. Hopefully I’ll cross paths with him again one day.

enjoy—more from me next week

solidarity,

aja
