New podcast: Part Two of our year-end review episode for 2024

We’re back with Part Two of our year-end review podcast for important events in Atlanta and beyond in 2024 šŸŽ§

Listen in to hear Part Two of our year-end review deep dive into 2024, available now for all monthly paid subscribers.

This time, we discuss the Biolab chemical fire in late September, the racially motivated hate crime and assaults at Ideal Sports Bar on December 1, the connection between alleged CEO shooter Luigi Mangione’s terrorism charge and those of 42 Cop City protesters, the recent lawsuit filed by Tortuguita’s parents and how there is no perfect protester, and finally, Jimmy Carter and his legacy—good and bad. (You won’t find any revisionist history here!)

While Part One was under an hour, this segment is a doozy of two hours (oops!). However, these topics I think are a bit closer to our heart, particularly when we get into the connections between Stop Cop City domestic terrorism chargesĀ and the terrorism charge against Luigi Mangione, who we presume to be innocent in our coverage.

A few resources below to compliment this episode:

A recent blog postĀ by Mainline-vetted source and local attorney concerning Tortuguita’s killing by police and how Tortuguita has largely been portrayed in the media

Them’s articleĀ regarding the latest lawsuit filed by Tortuguita’s parents, where a link to the official legal complaint is included

My article in The AppealĀ concerning Tortuguita’s death, plus my article in ViceĀ about the reactions from the movement

Additional coverage by yours truly in The AppealĀ regarding the State’s motion to include Tortuguita’s alleged diaryĀ into evidence in proceedings against the 61 Cop City RICO defendants

Up next: We will debut our pilot episode for our exclusive podcast series covering the Cop City RICO trials, entitled ā€œThe Process is the Punishment,ā€ wherein we interview five defendants along with their attorneys and other field experts. We are very excited to roll this one out, as are our sources and defendants who are ready for their stories to be told. Stay tuned!

Until then,
