EARLY RELEASE: Black Voters Matter with Fenika Miller

Well y’all, we’re only a few days into 2022 and so much has already happened. Municipalities have sworn in their new administrations and new candidates are gearing up for this year’s midterm elections. Like previous elections, these midterms could have some long-lasting repercussions. The difference this time is many of us aren’t thinking about only voting on election day. We are thinking about educating and organizing ourselves before we vote and how we stay active to hold those elected officials accountable in the future. We have to also think about the other pieces to this puzzle that aren’t on the ballot but could affect this part of the endless election cycle, like COVID variants or protocols, redistricting maps, SB202, and the Voting Rights Act that still hasn’t been debated or voted on by congress. To talk about all of this and more I’m joined today by Black Voters Matter Georgia’s Senior State Organizing Manager Fenika Miller.
