Coming out of the woo closet on May Day

Happy May Day & eclipse season—here’s an episode where I’m having a conversation I’ve never had publicly before. Some updates regarding Mainline, too.

Some notes:
A few weeks ago, I shared a part of my origin story covering my transition from active addiction to recovery, but I wasn’t completely honest about all parts of it due to my own fears/imposter syndrome/self-consciousness around what other people would think.

In this episode I share those parts of the story and why I think this is important to share now during this part of the collective story/the labor movement/revolution.

The word “revolution” literally means to turn around, or to turn in. It took me a long time to feel comfortable sharing these parts of myself; it’s taken me my entire life thus far to  embrace myself fully as an artist, healer, and light worker. This readiness is the result of a lot of inner work, old parts of self falling off, and fear shedding off like skin from a snake. Throughout the past two years especially, I’ve realized that until we can come to terms with who we authentically are in spite of the capitalist systems within and around us, we won’t be able to create the realities we want to create. Until we heal ourselves, we can’t build systems of healing—and we have so many tools in our arsenal I don’t think we are sharing enough about.

I’ll be hanging out on the patreon exploring these areas more and talking with people 1:1 about their awakening experiences and their inner revolutions. I’m looking forward to exploring a new way to contribute to the movement that makes more sense for me, and I hope, for our communities.

If you want to hop off the Patreon because this isn’t your jam, then no hard feelings at all ❤️ I know some joined for our coverage of politics and elections, but that’s not something I’ll continue to do, as I explain in this episode.

For those who choose to stick around, know that your dollars are going to take care of Mainline’s basic expenses and Mainline’s overall evolution. While Mainline is letting go of a lot of old versions of itself, we will continue to cover local music (which is our roots) and launch Mainline Records to help support local artists more directly (more about that soon).

solidarity,
aja
